The Debate Department
The Debate Department centers on various types of debate, including Model United Nations (MUN) and informal debates in order to offer students platforms to hone their debating skills.
Our MUN conferences simulate the workings of the United Nations, spanning a multitude of global issues across different councils. Participants gain hands-on experience navigating complex negotiations and understanding the dynamics that shape international relations within each council.
In addition to MUN, our department hosts types debates, including the upcoming IPEA Round Table policy-based debate. These forums serve as invaluable spaces for exchanging ideas and opinions, fostering growth and skill development for debaters at all levels. Through master classes and discussions, we provide opportunities for continuous improvement of debate techniques that can be used inside and outside of the classroom.
